Shiva's Cosmic Dance at CERN

On June 18, 2004, an unusual new landmark was unveiled at CERN, the European Center for Research in Particle Physics in Geneva — a 2m tall statue of the Indian deity Shiva Nataraja, the Lord of Dance. The statue, symbolizing Shiva's cosmic dance of creation and destruction, was given to CERN by the Indian government to celebrate the research center's long association with India.
In choosing the image of Shiva Nataraja, the Indian government acknowledged the profound significance of the metaphor of Shiva's dance for the cosmic dance of subatomic particles, which is observed and analyzed by CERN's physicists. The parallel between Shiva's dance and the dance of subatomic particles was first discussed by Fritjof Capra in an article titled "The Dance of Shiva: The Hindu View of Matter in the Light of Modern Physics," published in Main Currents in Modern Thought in 1972. Shiva's cosmic dance then became a central metaphor in Capra's international bestseller The Tao of Physics, first published in 1975 and still in print in over 40 editions around the world.
A special plaque next to the Shiva statue at CERN explains the significance of the metaphor of Shiva's cosmic dance with several quotations from The Tao of Physics. Here is the text of the plaque:

Do we have to play cricket ? one lakh prize

Do we have to play cricket? Of course, we have to play & win the more talked about one lakh prize announced by CONFED. No name registration since you are already in. What am I going to get if playing cricket?  Needless to explain much and only to re-collect from our mind that It can improve endurance, stamina, physical fitness and hand eye-coordination.

Dhanush celebrated his 30th birthday

The Southern heartthrob and Bollywood’s Raanjhanaa star Dhanush turned 30 yesterday. The star planned a birthday bash in a grand way in London and that too with his close friends. A source close to the leading light revealed that Dhanush left for London with his friends just after the success party of his Bollywood debut Raanjhanaa, which has grossed Rs. 100 crore.

The source further stated that he will be staying there for few more days. The actor has recently worked in a Tamil project Maryan where he is portraying Maryan Joseph Vijayan. We did fail to see the flip side of the coin which is disappearing Unity, integrity among community members and time slot and what not? Hello, Anyhow we are integrating when we happened to know about our stranger friend’s dad/mom expiry through condolence message which are allowed in our rule list.

 

Dear friends at least we have to make sure that our friends are attending the funerals of the specific region where the tragedy took place. Hope that this is happening instead of  flashing a mail to an unknown destination.

 

One to one contact is applicable for your birth & wedding anniversary days and definitely not in the group, we always gather and worry about sorrow and not any happier.
